Body Type

By age 17, 80% of girls are already unhappy with their bodies. But music has a profound power to make people feel their best. We talked to our friends and our classmates, and asked them which songs make them feel the most confident, the happiest in their skin. Then, we projected the lyrics from these songs directly onto their skin in the Google font Roboto. By tracing the natural contours of their bodies, we developed Roboto Curvy: a new, body-positive font weight. This bold sans-serif display face celebrates natural curvature and disproportion, distilled directly from the silhouettes of women in moments of musical empowerment.
