My personal yet helpful comical mini-guide on how to "social-network-ize" on Twitter.
Subject to change/updates as Twitter is constantly evolving.
1. LMAO = Sense of humor required or you will bore me...fast.2. Please do not preach. This is not Twitter church. If you preach to me or shout it out loud then it is too late to save me, forget about it. I respect all or most beliefs but this is not the place. I believe in the separation of Twitter and church. I choose to worship Twitter. Can I get a hell yeah? If this offended you then do not bother to read the rest because you are void of...refer to #1. I am OK with that. Really. Someone loves you. 3. Politics? Look #2 & #3 start crazy ass wars...War sucks. Peace out. Yes, I vote. 4. Stop the DirectMessage madness! DO NOT auto follow/DM me with trying to sell me something or anything else for that matter; please you just made me throw up a little. I say tweet it or why Twitter? If you want me to find out what you have to offer refer to #10. I am gonna make it clear - I DO NOT DM! Whew! I feel better now. Exception to this rule are if someone needs to send me pertinent private information like an email or phone number they do not care for the Twitterverse to all recieve. However, you can also email that to me cause my email is available in my BIO blog link. Is there a way to turn off my Twitter DM feature? 5. Inspirational motivational quotes are cool and accepted gratefully. Thanks for making my day! Sharing cool links to blogs/websites/latest news & events are also appreciated!6. Simple Twitter etiquette: Show you care. Make nice. Respond to my question, am I not good enough for you? Don't be stuck up cause you know we both poo. Whatever...stop busting my CHI bubble like that! It hurts my energy field! Ouch! I know where the UNFOLLOW button lives. For all the spambots & weirdos - I also know where the BLOCK button lives, thankfully.

8. Have a REAL photo of YOU on your profile pic & be clothed please! I want to see YOUR FACE otherwise you are not REAL to me; you are a logo, a cartoon, a box thing...think of it like this: if I were to walk into a store to buy something I do not want to talk to the wall or a robot but rather a real being! Same concept applies for phone calls; just think how irritating those damn computerized recordings are, just get me a real human being I can interact with already! Tip: If you have your pet and yourself pictured togther then I instantly follow you cause that is a 2 for 1 bonus photo! 9. Love animals. Be pet friendly. There is something very wrong with you if you don't like animals, you scare me.
10. Last but not least! The profile! NAME: Who are you? Are you for real? Celebs - are you official? What was that? Your name is also the same name as your business? No way! E.g. -My name is Sophie, my Twitter name is Thedogsdish. People do not call me dish, get it? I have a real name, it's Sophie. LOCATION: Seriously, I want to know at least what part(s) of the planets time zone(s) you Twitter from. Oh and those GPS coordinates is stupid unless I'm driving, so stop it! WEB: This is where you include a blog or website link so we can click on it and find out what business you have to offer or what your views are, or what latest cool pics/vids you have of your dog, etc. otherwise you look like a spammer. BIO: Include a fun tidbit about you; let your personality shine! THE LOCKED PROFILE: Huh? Oh no you didn't set your Twitter business profile to private?!?!? WTH? I am so not requesting permission to follow you. If you have a business you have just failed promoting yourself and have lost many potential followers. Must I remind you that this is a "social networking" site...heeelllllooooooo!? It's not too late though, just UNLOCK YOURSELF from Twitter prison in the settings of your profile so others may follow your business tweets!
