GIANT George

and

Giant George is on Twitter http://twitter.com/giantgeorgeaz and Facebook http://www.facebook.com/GiantGeorge

Growing up with Great Danes, I can tell you they are indeed gentle giants, have a deep woof, protective of family, strong, sensitive souls, cautious, leaners, curious, smart and quite comical. My families first Great Dane was a Harlequin rescue named Sundance. Then we fostered a Mantle named Ace for a short time. Our 3rd Dane was a Fawn puppy appropriately named Marmaduke...yes just like the old comic strip. This was all before digital cameras and internet but I will have to try to see if I can find any photos of my Great Danes from my childhood then scan and post them...

Would someone please get this birdhouse off my top hat!

If you like this one you should see other straw art I capture around the world with my camera. Maybe I am the first and only straw art international photographer?

dog poop

In my field of canine work I get asked from time to time "Why do dogs eat poop?"

My personal theory is simple on this one:

  • Because they can
  • Something is lacking in their diet
  • Boredom/Anxiety/Frustration

How to stop the dog from eating poop:

  • Be poop diligent - Pick up their poop and others poop immediately thus not giving them the opportunity. Puppies especially do what I call "exploratory sampling" so discourage it with a "NO!" followed by a "YUCKY" command! Dog poop is bad for the environment! If you do not pick up after your dog's waste then you are contributing to the over poop-ulation! Besides, I am here to tell you that there is no such thing as a poop fairy!
  • Re-evaluate your dogs diet; feed them real food, get rid of the commercial kibble, it’s evil. Give healthy treats to your dog e.g. apples, carrots, bananas, spinach, raw beef bone, etc.
  • Walk your dog every single day, give your dogs lots of doggie toys and give your dog socializing playtime with other dogs on a regular basis. Dogs do not have Facebook or Email so they need social networking amongst other dogs in real time, dogbook does not cut it, OK?
  • Hire an animal communicator to ask your dog that very question and see what answers they come up with! You might be surprised!

tires

Free Twitter buttons from languageisavirus.com

As an American stationed overseas I was not able to find my large rim size SUV tires via AAFES gas station or auto center and did not want to bother with the outside economy places due to various factors such as language barrier, euro rate, etc. So with that I ordered and bought my tires online via this company that ships to APO/FPO, awesome! I received my tires within a week from the good ol' USA  http://www.tirerack.com/
